Description:

ParalAssist is a sleep paralysis assistant. Once it is given a "racing heart rate" it monitors the wearer until it detects a heightened heart rate and wakes the wearer up.

Inspiration:

I suffer from sleep paralysis and there's nothing out there that can help it so I decided to create something that would.

What it does:

It's a FitBit app that responds to signs of sleep paralysis and takes action to stop the attack.

How we built it:

I built it with the Fitbit SDK.

Challenges we ran into:

I've never programmed an app on my own so that was pretty hard.

Accomplishments that we're proud of:

My bpm picker works, so that's pretty cool!

What we learned:

A lot - I didn't really have too too much experience with js outside of 220 so I suppose it's like learning a new language.

What's next:

Getting feedback and posting it on the Fitbit App Gallery, if the interest is there.

Built with:

Javascript and markup.

Prizes we're going for:

HAVIT RGB Mechanical Keyboard

TBI Pro Gaming Headset

$100 Amazon Gift Cards

Hustle Award

Social Entrepreneurship Award

Grand Prize
