Today, with social media we are more connected than ever, yet we are also more alone than ever. Our project is a social media site that is optimized for meeting people in real life.

This app helps you find friends for lunch or activities. Each user has a calendar, where they can post events with a time and location. Friends can search for events and see them on a map. This enables them to easily come to join you, and avoids awkward last minute invitations.
We worked from 10AM to 12PM this Saturday.
This was the first time we used a lot of technology and ran into difficulties getting them to communicate, (port forwarding on GCP is annoying). As well, getting the Here API to work within Angular was surprisingly difficult. Despite multiple visits from MITRE engineering mentors none of our problems could be fixed.
We built the component pieces of our social network! Front-End, Bank-End, Database. I am proud of the work we got done in one day, and the progress we made despite learning as we coded.
Aaron learned a lot about google cloud platform, and flask! Panupong and Chenhao learned a great deal about Angular. This was Kevin's first experience programming, and he hopes to do it more!
We plan to get through the last mile and fix the configuration problems we faced. Possibly changing the tech stack we build with. This is to enable simpler integration between our component pieces.
The Here API is central to our app. We used an angular front-end and a Flask-mySQL backend.
